Because I got to see one of my favourite bands in ze world…FRANZ FERDINAND. I mean, yeah, their songs are mostly upbeat and dancy, but when they started with my absolute favourite song, ‘Dark Of The Matinee’, I started choking up for some reason. Man, they were perfect. The crowd was perfect. I wasn’t TOO far, but not that close. It was hot but the music made it all the heat and feet pains disappear. Alex was sporting a nice stache which people were commenting about frequently. I fucking love Scottish men. British men. Fuck, just all of Europe. They make 40 year olds look sexy. In all seriousness doe, I never thought I’d get to see them. Ever since I saw the Take Me Out video on Malaysia airlines in ‘06, my private parts have been yearning to see them live, and let me tell you…I am HAPPY.

Started the day off with the beginning of Fun. They aren’t my have and their stuff is a bit too sing-along-y for me and it’s overplayed, but they had a fun time with the crowd.

We then decided to head over to Bombay Bicycle Club because…we cared more about them? They were wicked. Whole crowd was dancing and singing along. They’re so much fun!

We then decided that we had way too much sun so we headed to the Tree Stage to see The Jezabels, but they were sound checking for FOREVER. We were wiped already (because we took an early bus out of Ottawa) so we bought some bottles of water and set ourselves down on the grass behind a standing crowd. We then left to find a nice space under shade to wait until Franz Ferdinand, in which we had an EPIC time. Then it was time for FLORENCE…and she is just an angel. I didn’t really know any words to her songs, but she is SOMETHING! Then we headed over to Sigur Ros, and dayum, they are artsy. The backdrops were wicked, they way they played their instruments were unique and not to mention, Jonsi’s voice! Oh man. 

Lauren and I then decided to settle on the hill till the end of the festival, ending the day jamming to Jusice while we sat and pumped our fists and arms and upper bodies. 

Fuck, that was only ONE day of Osheaga?
